Landsdowne Elementary School

Lansdowne Elementary School typically enrolls about 700 students each year. The reported student-teacher ratio is 14:1. Southern Tates Creek High School

Southern Tates Creek High School, which employs 100 teachers, serves 1,179 students in the area with a student-teacher ratio of 19:1. Tates Creek is the only high school in the district to offer the much recognized International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, which is a college preparatory program that challenges teenagers and helps to ensure that students are ready to excel in college. The school offers a variety of clubs such as the Spanish Club, Recycling Club, Political Round Table Club, Beta Club, Drama Club, and many, many more. In addition to the variety of clubs, the school offers many different sports, such as baseball, basketball, cheerleading, football, and tennis. The school’s athletic department can even boast notable alumni such as David Akers, a professional NFL football player.

Lexington Catholic High School is a private school that focuses on students in a holistic manner. The school seeks to not only provide top quality education, but to also ensure that the spiritual needs of the students are met as well. The school reported that 98% of their students enter college with an impressive 81% being admitted to their first choice college. With an emphasis on volunteering, the school has given nearly 17,677 hours in service to the community. Regarding athletics, the students at Lexington Catholic High can stay active through cross country, football, golf, swim and dive, wrestling, and many others.
